Caution:

This product is not supported on Windows 7 x64 Enterprise by the vendor.  However, it is supported on Windows 7 x64 Pro.

Issue:

When manually installing the application on Windows 7 x64 Enterprise it will not load the data base during the install it tries to install and load the MSQL database but it errors off “MSDE OSQL command to attach to database failed”.

Note: In this particular environment, UAC is set to default and group policies are applied locking down the machine.  If I do the same install on a bare machine with no policies, or UAC, it installed without issues.

Solution:

1. Create a folder  C:\spacelabs  and give users full permissions to it.
2. Copy the source locally
3. Start an administrative command prompt.
4. Map to the folder where the setup.exe resides
5. Launch the Setup.exe via the administrative command prompt
